What is One Winter Night?
One Winter Night is C-U at Home’s signature annual fundraiser, bringing the Champaign-Urbana community together to support neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Held each February in downtown Champaign, the event raises essential funds for our Pathways to Progress program while shining a light on the realities of living without stable housing.
Participants, sponsors, and volunteers join in solidarity to demonstrate that no one in Champaign County is beyond hope, stability, or a fresh start.
How to Participate

One Winter Night's Outdoor Challenge
The One Winter Night Outdoor Challenge provides a powerful opportunity for our community to learn about homelessness, build empathy for the people we serve, and raise funds to support our mission.
Participants pledge to raise $1000 while they help raise community awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness. They will be helping to support a vital ministry while experiencing the difficulties faced by homeless individuals on cold winter nights by spending the night outside in tents, cars, or makeshift shelters.
