Centralized Intake
This resource is for all homeless individuals and is a point of entry for emergency shelter for families. They sit down with each individual or family and do a survey to see what assistance or resources are available at the time. For open emergency shelter locations, see below.

Survey Times: Centralized Intake does first come, first serve surveys every Tuesday, from 1-4 pm at C-U at Home.
C-U at Home Men's Emergency Shelter
Overnight emergency shelter for men provided nightly. Showers and laundry are not available during shelter hours.
Start Date & Time: Open every night from 8:30pm-7:30am
Location: C-U at Home, 70 E. Washington Street, Champaign

Austin's Place — Emergency Shelter for Women
Overnight emergency shelter for women provided nightly. Showers and laundry are available during shelter hours.
Start Date: Open every night from 8:00pm-7:00am
Location: C-U at Home Building, 504 N Market Street, Champaign (A separate entrance for women is on the WEST side of the building at the corner of Washington and Market Streets)

Emergency Shelter for Families with Children
Emergency shelter is available for families who meet certain criteria. Specifically, families with:
- One or more parent (or legal guardian), age 18 or over, with one or more child under the age of 18
- Champaign County residents
- Family household size of six people or less
- Head of the household is biologically or legally related to the child(ren)
- Expecting women with no current children may be housed by program during last trimester of pregnancy
Space is limited, and families will be placed on a waiting list if space is not available. Guests will be allowed 3-5 day increments of stay, as long as the guests are actively participating in case management services and working toward finding more stable housing options.
