Community Engagement

Sharing the journey

The support of the larger community is essential to our mission at C-U at Home, and we know that you care about the population we serve and want to better understand the complex issues surrounding homelessness.

At C-U at Home, we use a variety of approaches to help our ministry partners and the broader community learn more about the work we do, why we do it, and why the need exists. We also communicate and coordinate with other community resources that provide supportive services. We are viewed as the go-to resource on homelessness for local media and beyond. Our ministry was featured on local media outlets nearly 50 times in 2022, and we stay connected with supporters and community organizations through our newsletters and social media.

Staff members are available to speak and give presentations to community groups, civic organizations, churches, and schools. You can also access two documentaries about C-U at Home and our work with homelessness: The Phoenix: Hope Is Rising (produced by Phil Gioja and Isaac Musgrave, 2016) and V for Vulnerable (Center Street Productions, 2021). DVD copies of each of these films are available in our offices.
