Praises

• Thank you God for the great partnership we have with the local police departments and sheriff’s station that continue to work with us in helping our friends without an address.
• Praise the Lord for a new resident that was able to be moved in last week and has an opportunity for a supported recovery journey.
• Give praise to Jesus for Austin’s Place, the winter women’s emergency shelter, that will open this weekend on December 1st!

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Praises

• Thank you God for the C-U Men’s Shelter that was able to open early last Friday evening! They have had a great first few days welcoming our friends into a safe and warm place to sleep.
• Praise the Lord for John Bobby, our Phoenix Assistant that has been doing a great job working with our friends and displaying patience to them. 
• Give praise to Jesus for the opportunity we had to speak about One Winter Night at Quest Church and Stratford Park Bible Chapel this past weekend. Combined from both churches, we received EIGHT new box dweller participants!

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Praises

• Thank you God for WBGL, our local Christian radio station, who has committed to take part in One Winter Night and bring together a team of participants!
• Praise the Lord for Austin’s Place, the women’s emergency shelter. They will have an earlier open date of December 1st!
• Give praise to Jesus for the many local churches that are allowing us to come and share about One Winter Night each Sunday with their congregations!

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Praises

• Thank you God for the great time we had speaking at the Illinois Probation and Court Services conference last week. Chosen as the conference charity, we received $1,318 in monetary donations and gift cards!!!
• Praise the Lord for the Hope Center, who puts together our toiletry and laundry bags for our friends without addresses each month.
• Give praise to Jesus for Carter’s Furniture, who recently donated a brand new couch for us to use in our living room area at the Phoenix.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
