Praises

• Thank you God for one of our residents that has graduated from our transitional housing program and will be moving into his own apartment this week!
• Praise the Lord for the various donations that have come in this week – thirty blankets from the Champaign County Association of Realtors and a couch from Carter’s Furniture.
• Give praise to Jesus for a local college student who is doing a drive at ISU to gather items to donate from our Fall/Winter Wishlist!

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Praises

• Thank you God for The Dwelling Place, a new daytime drop-in center for our friends without an address that is getting up on it’s feet in Danville!!
• Praise the Lord for area churches that have been scheduling time during their Sunday services for us to talk about One Winter Night!
• Praise the Lord for the hard work of our residents – for their consistency in working, saving half their income, and meeting with their case managers and spiritual advisers. We are so thankful for each of them and their steps forward!

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Praises

• Thank you God for a resident who just started her first job after completing other necessary requirements on her recovery journey!
• Praise the Lord for the 55 individuals who have committed to being box dwellers for One Winter Night 2019 already!
• Give praise to Jesus for our partnership with the Champaign Township and the collaboration that has brought about the C-U at Work program, which gives our friends an opportunity to work with dignity!

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not   looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

• Thank you God for a friend who continues to stay on his path of sobriety and take big strides forward in his new way of life.
• Praise the Lord for the the launch of our One Winter Night 2019 season!
• Give praise to Jesus for a friend without an address who just got into residential detox and began his recovery journey!

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

Praises

• Thank you God for a friend who has, over the last year, moved through our transitional housing programs and is now officially out on his own living a sober life!
• Praise the Lord for the great response and success of our pilot work program.
• Give praise to Jesus for the continued support of our many friends with addresses and churches as we continue to get settled into our new space!

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
