Good morning friends!
Recently we had the privilege of sharing with you that we were in the process of finalizing an agreement with the owners of the TIMES Center building, Rosecrance, to allow us to move our C-U at Home operations into that location. This would allow us to continue to provide vital wraparound services to our friends without an address, remain laser-focused on those who are “most vulnerable,” and have a space big enough to eventually house an emergency shelter. I am excited to report that an official agreement has been reached and beginning on September 14th, The Phoenix Daytime Drop-In Center and the C-U at Home administrative offices will move from 34 East Green Street to 70 East Washington Street! We will begin moving on the evening of Friday, September 14th and re-open for drop-in center services on Tuesday, September 18th. With that timeline there will be no lost days of services to our friends!
For nearly 20 years, the TIMES Center location has been designated by the community to provide housing services for those in need. Along with relocating the drop-in center to a new long-term home, we will be continuing our collaboration with the C-U Men’s Shelter as we have for the past two winters and will be blessed to work alongside them as we host the emergency shelter at the TIMES Center this winter. As we look ahead to this winter and beyond, it is still our mission at C-U at Home to provide emergency shelter 365 days a year, if the community is supportive of this endeavor.
Friend, believe me when I say that this is a HUGE win for our community! I could not be more humbled and grateful as we take this next step in our ministry. We have been praying for months that God would open doors and move in people’s hearts. Today, I get to share with you a colossal answer to prayer! Be on the lookout for more details as we get closer to the move date and as always, do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] or (217)991-0356 with any questions.
God bless you and thank you so much for your prayers and continued support!
In His Service,
Rob Dalhaus III
